Fade In:
A Tracking Shot

Fade Out:
Someone, in the silence, is moving
The Istituto Svizzero di Roma invited Zurich-based artist-run space Taylor Macklin to draft a program for the months of April and May 2016. The proposal encompasses intertwined activities at the Institute in Rome and the space in Zurich Schwamendingen, which Taylor Macklin is sharing with Plymouth Rock. Through performances, installations, exhibitions, lectures, and concerts, Taylor Macklin’s proposal speculates on the context-defining architecture of the ISR’s Dipendenza building in Rome, and, with a video installation by Ian Wooldridge, muses about absence in Zurich. The expansive and elliptical nature of this project represents the outcome of the meandering conversation between the invited artists, the members of Taylor Macklin, and the Istituto Svizzero. –> More information
